Simple and easy mod to convert the front windows on a HB viva 2 door to power windows is to find a Rover 2000 front windows, They are a straight bolt in, They come complete with two wires and even better if you can get the harness and switches.

Picked up for free, off a mate, a set off a Rover SD1 front winders, some differences, but so many things the same I think I could mod these to work in a HB?

The four bolt holes don't all line up, but two defiantly do and give the same length on the main bar.

There are two extra arms on the SD1 winders (that can be removed easy)

The only stumbling block I can see is where and or what do the motors interfere with and lastly there is no manual override option.

More when I have had a play around with a tape measure. In the meantime it would be nice to see a picture of the Rover P6 winder and see if its the same as the SD1?

Nissan Micra mechanisms are tiny! This one is from a 2005 model. There are several types though.

I would think that even though the Rover ones are closer in design, something more modern would be easier to source and easier to replace when it eventually needs it. I'm on the end of my bandwidth so I don't want to scan through it, but doesn't Martin Reyland's thread on his Firenza show which electric window winders he used?
