Series 4 Rx7 seats? I have a pair of them that came in the old HB race car. Very nice.

Please - lots of photos of how you fit the centre bearing for the prop shaft :D I am going to put a two piece propshaft in my HB as the long single one gets a whip induced resonance set up pulling from below 2000 rpm and rattles my g/box. I have tried every thing including making adjustable top links and setting the pinion angle up.

I can identify with that shot. I had that much rust on the floor as well most of the time!

Series 4? Is that known as the FD? Got any pics of them I was thinking the rx8 front seats would be good as they have the rotary shape in the head rests...

Will do lots of pics for you on the prop going to do that either sat afternoon or Sunday over the pit so the axle is sat properly. Hopefully my plan on how to do it will work, getting the shaft true will be the tricky bit. The damn thing wasn't cheap so i better get it right!!!

Ahh what i meant was that the seats you have now fitted look to be series 4 rx7 (FC)

Mx5 seats go in nicely and I think have a nicer classic shape about them. You could no doubt pick up some cheapish leather ones.

I've just worked out what's going in her (I'm slow)

The seat in the pic is only sat in there it's out of dad's series 2 rx7 he had all the interior out to weld the floor and we ran out of space in the garage so I put in the viva!

Here's an update for you!
Been busy with work but have finished the body work and primered the car, painted all the front crossmember, top coated the engine bay and got the engine back in

That wasn't fun but was nicer than the rear arch job!

Finished off a few bits of welding

Got the crossmember out and painted
Image

Then finished the filler work

Image

After that I steam cleaned the bay and sanded it down ready for some high build primer

Nice to see it all in one colour!

Love the colour

Then primered the car

Then got the engine painted put it in and wired it up!

Thanks yeah it's a 5/1 2k solid so no lacquer!

The shine depends on how well you flat off the primer
That said I now see I have a lot more flatting back :(

Some very tidy repairs going on there! Your dad has a first gen rx7 - what a cool dad. Looks like it's got series 3 wheels? Sweet cars.

I really like the color of this viva- what is the name of it?
