engine conversion

Postby karatekidjay » Mon Jun 02, 2014 9:56 am

Hi, I have a vauxhall magnum 1800 slant engine auto. I am putting a v6 3.0 essex in to it very soon but am just wondering if anyone has done it before and if theres any obstacles I might face that I may be able to prepare for. I.e front drop sump, timing cover that includes dip stick?? Cutting/ mods. Any advice would be largely helpful.
many thanks jamie.

Did a couple of conversion in the late 70's early 80's but personaly i wouldnt bother with the old essex v6 now. The c25xe out of a vectra on a manta/omega/t9 gearbox would be a far better conversion
