The engine sits an inch lower now & once the grotty bulkhead bit has been ground off, there'll be 10mm of clearance.

Cheers,

Leigh.

Modified Escort chassis mount boxes & built the kit up from there.

Cheers,

Last one for now! Doing the gearbox mount this weekend. Mocked up the radiator/ intercooler & even with the engine over an inch further forward, there's still around 2" of clearance between the electric fan & the pulleys!!

Cheers,

Leigh.

Hi guys! here are some photo's from the weekend (there are a few!) showing the mods to the gearbox x-member. Now have to make up 4 tubes & weld them in along with captive nuts on the interior floor & re-shape the O/S of the x-member to clear the exhaust. It'll be placed between floor & x-member for maximum clearance. I'm away to re-cap the tunnel this weekend & possibly repair the grotty bulkhead, time permitting.

Cheers,

Leigh.

Last pics for now! The Ford rubber mount (albeit slightly trimmed in width for the Corsair) now fits neatly. Hmmm! May even make Billing 2016 at this rate!!

Cheers,

Leigh.

Hi everyone! Here are a few pics of this weekend's progress. The tunnel top has been tigged in (butt weld), dressed & primed with BondaPrimer (waterproof stuff for steel boat hulls). I'll dolly the weld area when the engine & 'box come out.
