Bellhousing, Vauxhall Ohc to Ford Pinto

Postby ken707 » Thu Oct 16, 2014 4:19 pm

I've recently bought a 2.3 Vauxhall overdrive gearbox but the car it was removed from was running a 2 litre Ford engine.

I know this would be a rare conversion, tends to be Vauxhall engine to Ford gearbox but I now have a spare bellhousing of no use to me as the box is eventually going into my Firenza.

Anyone know something about such a bellhousing? I haven't collected it yet so have no pics, it seems mote compact than the std ohc unit.

The FORD bellhousing pattern is common to all their engines, so this will also fit a crossflow, a cossie, a zetec or a Duratec, or even a V6! Could make for an interesting conversion and I for one, would be interested if you considered selling it.

Mike,

I have enough projects so would sell this.

Pm me an offer....I won't be collecting it for at least a week and then there's the carriage element, I'm in N Ireland.

I always get my timing wrong as I had the car over in Sept and was staying close by in Cleobury.

Cleobury? You were 6 miles away! Whilst I was in Colraine earlier in the month (Nevin Electrical?). The Irish love their motorsport!
I'll do some sciencing and send you a decent offer by pm.
Cheers
