13x7 wheels with a -7 offset

Postby daveyc123 » Sat Aug 19, 2017 1:25 pm

Hi guys, looking at getting wheels for my 74 hc viva. The ones I'm looking at are 13x7 with an offset of -7 will these fit or is the offset to low? The car has wide wheel arches which will either work in my favour or make things a nightmare! But if they fit on a standard viva I should be able to make them work with what I have. Also I will be needing tyres, so any advice or pics of various tyre sides would be much appreciated.
Thanks for any help: here's a pic for your troubles!

I have Superlites fitted to the baron which are 7J and they do give me a prob with interference on the standard wheel arches - fited 205 x 60 x 13 - need to role the wheel arch lips biut am getting away with jacking up by about 1/2" on the rear

They look great! Perhaps my arches have been modified to allow for wider wheels? That's definitely the look I want, think it may be a case of buy them and do what I can go make them work. Could possibly go with a smaller tyre? Is 205-60-13 the same as the standard rolling radius of viva wheels?

The arches are just a home made job (by previous owner) the lights are magnum ones. When I got the car it had a vauxhall victor grill fitted.... I don't know why? But to make it work ,the majority of the metal panel that the head lights attach to has been cut away. I'm not sure what the previous owners intentions were. Either a track or drift car I think. It was missing the complete interior when I bought it but I bought a magnum donor car, which has pretty much given me everything I need to complete the project.

ahh ok, the arches look good. I wondered about the lights because the seem to be at an angle, rather than straight, with the inner two lower than the outer two lamps, or is that the angle of the pic etc.

There is no metal behind them so they are just sat there. I will be putting in the panel that houses the lights from the donor car..... I say I but I can't weld so someone else will be doing it! Thanks for the kind comments! It's a bit more of a project than i anticipated but I'm learning heaps and hopefully not to far away from getting it on the road!

That's the size I was looking to fit to my HC.

I'm sticking with the current wheels for now though. 8J (would not advise though because tyres will need to be stretched to fit).

Any pictures of the donor car?
