converting solex to stromberg thottle set up

i have been given a good working Stromberg carb and air filter from a 78 chevette 1256 car and i am looking to retro fit into my viva HB.
the cable/rods set up currently in my viva doesn't seem to adapt to the stromberg.
does anybody have an idea how i can fit the stromberg and what is involved please?
