I'd like to know that also.

As a last way out you could cut the spring with a grinder of heat them up uwith a torch...but as I say... That's the last solution.

You could certainly let someone make new springs, but this might cost...

I've been advised by a Firenza owner to try http://www.coilsprings.co.uk/index.html

He said just to email them your requirements (drop and car) and they will give you a price. Once I've worked out how low to go i'll give them a bell. :D

I believe that both the DSG and the VOC (or Adrian now, I guess) can supply remanufactured HPF springs to original specification.

Might be a bit hard to get it the UK, but...

Holden Torana (LC/LJ) in Oz has the same springs and there are always springs coming up for them on local auction sites, or try King Springs or Peddars or any other Oz spring maker and they will be able to supply something, freight might cost a bit though. Mine were made by a kiwi outfit called Cobra Springs (then manager had 20yrs of racing Vivas and Toranas).

LC/LJ Torana has low and standard springs for a 6 cyl which work well in an OHC Viva and same for the rears. I have had 6 cyl springs in the front of my HB racecar and they were magic, dropped it quite a bit (can go lower with a special order) and really stiff - see my garage pic to get an idea. NZ$180 for a pair (60 pounds approx). Can get on auction sites sometimes for NZ$100 , LH/LX springs don't work...
