Wheels, advice please

Postby gazpman » Tue Feb 20, 2007 4:14 pm

Hey all,

currently looking for new wheels for my hc coupe and wanted some size advice. looking at a set of 13x7 slot mags at the mo and wondered how sensible this width would be, handling and fitting wise. what offset i'll need? will it remove the lowering option? and anything else you think i shud know.

cheers
Gary

for offset , what you need to do is [a] get a bit of square tube i.e hollow . get a bit off THREADED bar and a couple of nuts . FORMING a T . then DRILL two holes and place over wheel bolts . the threaded bar = width of wheel and tire

I think droopsnoot wheels always look good on vivas and firenzas e.t.c they are 6x13 and are proven to fit without mods and the offset is good and you can lower you car a bit to without any fuss. They look good and you could go for 185/70 or 205/60 tyres allthough the latter will make the steering heavy.

Reckon i'll hang on for some 13x6s, revolutions, minilights, slotmags, not sure yet.

If anyone knows of any needing a home around bournemouth or London area, let me know
