just a quick question, has anybody fitted power steering or heard of it being fitted to a magnum or similar? if so what parts are needed?

I haven't seen it on a Magnum - the guy who MOTs my HPF says it should have PAS on it, but that's usually because I forget to pump the tyres up. Anyway, he's sure that it was an option on some Victors, so maybe that would be the way to go.

Another thought - there was an article in Practical Performance Car in one of the early issues that described how someone added PAS to his Mk1 Capri, which used a suitable rack and an electric power steering pump off an A-Class Mercedes. The only thing is getting the rack - on the Capri there's a wide range of power steering racks off stuff like Granadas that probably fit quite well.

I'll see if I can dig it out, and bring a copy to a show in the summer.

My HPF was bloody heavy on the steering!!
What the hell is that?
