Adding up all the bushes must come to a bit of cash.

Do they give a fair bit of improvement in comfort/road handling?

YES a huge improvement. Ive just finished superflexing my HC and the difference is like night and day. Much much better now, it actually feels like the wheels are in contact with the road....
A new, standard set of rubber bushes would no doubt help a lot too, but at least with the superflex i wont need to do it all again in 5 years time....
