15" wheels on Viva HA

Postby Alexander » Fri Jun 19, 2009 6:14 pm

Hello, i know that many people say that it would take a lot of work to get 15" wheels on a viva, And today i test to mount a wheel from a Saav 9000 i know that the measurements are wrong but just to see what it looked like and if it hade enough clearance... I dont think it looked to be so much work to make it fit... Some pictures:

All I think you would have to do is: cut away alittle bit on the piece in the front, and make the corner good, In the back i think it would be enough to just use a hammer 8) Although if u whould have a low profile tyre you might not would need this :)
I think i will use lowprofile 15" wheels or maybe 14" wheels...

Those wheels are the wrong PCD, vivas are 4" PCD Saab wheels are 108 or 110mm not 4" (101.6mm)

As you say its only a mock up to see, PHEW dont fit them for real please....

why not use a tyre caluclator to see if a 15 with skiny tyres is similar to a 12" with normal tyres?

Yes as i said they had the wrong measurements, didnt know what the real name was
Yes you could use a tyre calculator ro see if a 15 with skinny tyre is the same as a 12" although i didnt know that there existed something like a tyre calculator  Do you know where it exist a tyre calculator?

you would have to have rubber band tyres to get 15's anywhere near the rolling diameter of the standard 12's

i dont think i have to have rubberband tyres... Although that matters on what you call rubberband tyres 8) 165 55 15" makes a diameter difference that is 4.57% which i think whould work... But i havent decided yet if i might will go on some 14" wheels instead... I will anyway not buy any new wheels on a while so
