That window piller looks horrific, the windscreen will probably have to be removed prior to any welding, be very careful when replacing it.

It's always good to read about progress on Lizzie. Meanwhile, my Estate "The White Knight is coming on nicely, just plucking up courage to do the undersealing, my garage floor is so cold! Talking of school proms, I have offered the choice of a classic Viva to my niece who leaves school next year, but sadly she wants a pink stretch limo instead!

How very dare her !! lol. i am still doing bits slowly. but yes garage floors are so cold. great news on the white knight. maybe 1 day when they are both on the road we shall have to meet up. i'm wanting to get it booked in for an mot around march time. so it gives me time if anything major comes up before prom day. i have drained the water out in light of the last few weeks freezing weather. also i wanted to hook up a hose pipe to flush out any 39 year old sludge. and you can never be sure on previous owners antifreeze levels.

It may also be a good idea to replace the core plugs, one of mine was corroded through, I only found out when operating temperature was reached!

Hello all,
hope you are all doing well, i have seen some of the other cars on here and i must say you are all doing great, well, i have been what we do best and "tinkering" over the cold period. oh yes and a bit of pottering too. i've spent "far too much time in that garage" for the mrs, so i must remember to be out there a bit more now its slowly getting warmer. lol. had the welder out again, and sorted some more small holes, but not before making them bigger first. need to get some wiper blades, and then tyres, and take it for an mot. i'm sure there are more bits to do, but i shall let him find the important bits first.
i must say tho i've enjoyed working on the ole gal. going for mot in the next couple of weeks, so we shall see how bad , or how close i am to being on the safe side.
keep at it lads. this year i'd like to be at billing ................ (maybe i should have said that a bit quieter?)..

Maybe we should arrange an eastern convoy for Billing.
A few people in the Essex/Suffolk area now :D

That's great news. I am at a very similar stage with my HC Estate, but at the moment I must concentrate on getting my daily drive, a W reg rover 45 through the MOT. I need to replace the trailing arm bushes and a reluctor ring but they are rather fiddly time consuming jobs. Oh for the simplicity of Vivas.
