Not sure if that helps.

Thanks Peter,

3rd digit of the VIN is 1. Any idea what trim level that would be? As there isn't a key for trim level on the page you linked.

So over the last week I lifted the mat and was greeted with very wet underlay:

I spent a while trying to remove this without destroying it but my efforts were fruitless, it had fused itself to the rusty floor and just wouldn't hold together. I'll have to make some up at some point (anybody got any templates or spares?). I gave the driver's floor a good scraping and was a bit disappointed with what I found. I was a lot more pleased with the passenger side so I got cracking with that. Took it all back to bare metal, treated it, and primed it:

There are a few bits that need addressing, but it's fairly solid. I spent some time cleaning up the driver's side too, but got a little disheartened with what I was finding. I treated and primed the area that I had worked on, and then put the task on hold. I taped up any holes in the floor to keep the water out, put the interior back in, and went to the MMOC organised show at Fyvie castle on Sunday. Weather was great, and needless to say, WFK was the only Viva there!

Not sure if its a 1. Any chance of a photo of the VIN plate showing the number etc.?

Yeah, I'll post up a picture.

Just had a look through the register at the 2-door basics, and the chassis numbers all start with 93111, so I guess WFK is a standard!

If so I will get it moved in the register.
I used Treadair underlay in one HB, stuck it down with Copydex glue. Mega headache when I finished doing that!

Took the Viva out on Tuesday night to meet friends for a meal. 25 mile trip with no real issues, other than poor visibility in the dark/rain. Coming home though we suddenly heard a strange noise from the rear and the car felt slightly lumpy... Yup, completely flat tyre, hanging off the rim, and no spare!

Thankfully though we were saved. I phoned my dad who took one of Honey's wheels off, and my girlfriend's mum delivered it to us and I got the wheel changed and drove safely home.

Lesson learned, make sure to have a spare with me!
And amazing the wheel is undamaged.

So between Friday and today I have racked up a whopping 18 miles. It took roughly 4 hours, and 3 of those miles were spent being towed :imsmiling:

I've finally got the PCD of my wheels measured. Fronts are 4x4", and rears seem to be 4x100. I'm undecided as to whether I want to get my rear wheels machined to size and get new rear tyres (they are too stretched and as a result leak air) or if I want to get new, slightly narrowe wheels and keep the current tyres. These are the wheels I'm looking at: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122356014349? ... EBIDX%3AIT

When Beigey doesn't start she sounds like she's turning over too fast, so low compression? But what would be causing it to be intermittent?

Clutch was seized when I tried to take her out on Friday too!

I do like 'Starmags' but those will take a lot of work to keep looking good. The wire style wheels you have look even better in my opinion so I would go for 're-pitching' of the 4x100 pcd to 4x101.6 and save the money for the new tyres. What width are the rears 8 inch?

My brother thinks he may know somebody who can repitch them so we shall see.

The rears are 8" yeah, as are the fronts!..
