Head gasket on one of these is a doddle, won't take you long at all :) get the head checked out while its off to make sure there's no cracks and it's not warped or anything ( not likely to be the case unless it's really been severely overheated ) :)

Seems to be fine now, I put it down to overfilling the rad, I'm used to cars with an expansion tank!

But no more pressurising the water now the level has dropped and i've done over 300 miles and counting

Very cool looking Viva, Steve.

They're great cars, but with the youngest HB now nearly forty seven years old, they're constant maintenance! :lol:
