Off to another show to represent the Viva family in Banbridge. Notice the R plates are now off !!

This was just after head gasket failure and an evening spent pulling the head off. Unfortunately I didn't take photos  It also appears the Viva was 2 different colours that evening. This was all during the daily driving period and she was ticking along nicely.

Out at a cruise in Newcastle with the lads. The springs were shot and the shocks were doing very little. This is what prompted the investigation into the Gaz coil overs. Bottoming out was a regular occurrence and a hole had started to appear in the inner wing were the tyre was rubbing through.

Gate crashing a Triumph meet to add a bit of style. I didn't even realise it was going on, right place right time :D

It got me free admission to the park it was held in so I wasn't complaining.

This was just before the water pump died on me 30 miles from home at 2am heading back from a friends wedding. Both parents were away in France at the time so my Grandmother had to come and rescue me :thanx:

The 2018 Down Run marked the end of an era for the Viva. I had just got a new job which involved a 60 mile journey every day and I didn't want to add such big mileage to the viva so it was parked in the garage as a weekend car.

Into 2019 now and the Viva was resting in the shed most of the time. It got the odd run out to a show or girlfriends house during the summer but it was enjoying retirement nicely.

Some rust prevention was also needed now that it was parked up and underneath was dry more often. The below was the result of using milk stone remover then wiping down with thinners and painting over with metal paint. The photos are only taken about an hour apart

I also happened to crash my fiesta so the viva resumed daily duties getting me to and from work and also ferrying Ford parts back to the shed from various scrapyards :P

This one was a tight squeeze
