Well the weather beat me, but today we managed to remove the lovely stainless steel exhaust from Soapy ready to fit to shoestring. And half removed the old exhaust form shoestring ready.
Also thought we would look at the rear brakes, but one of the drums is somewhat stuck on!! the little bolt that holds the drum on is rounded... so 20 minutes of hammer time and its still stuck... so its going to be ground out some time and then one can remove the drum to look at the brakes.
the other side ws nice and easy. the adjusters are seized and the wheel cylinder looked mank! so out of me special box of bits I donated tow new wheel cylinders and a set of shoes. I also have a set of wheel adjusters I will post as soon as i get time. so that should be them sorted.
All in all not exactly a lot done, but hey I arrived at 1pm the rain arrived at 4pm, and we needed time to poke and prod things, talk, drink tea (no bacon!!) and let the welder look at the car.
Bets of all was the nice yummy food provided fresh from the cooker after i washed up!! yayyyy for super cooks
