Engine back in. The brakes have been more or less completely restored with all new components. Most of the parts are here now to complete the rebuild but it still needs a few more bits such as brake master cylinder and some steering and suspension components. And a Brabham style exhaust.

Meanwhile, the Swiss Viva is coming on surprisingly well. The mechanicals are all done and it runs great. It's now at a local body-shop to have the underneath protected. The underneath looks terrible but apart from the jacking point, which I discussed earlier and which has now been cut back to good metal ready for welding, the underside is really solid.

I don't know what I am going to do with all these Vivas when they are finished and it's a shame they all seem to be completing at the same time after nearly a year, but still, it's exciting stuff :D

So, the Swiss Viva is nearly done and looking good. It just needs a new front windscreen rubber which I am waiting to have delivered from UK.

Meanwhile, the Brabham is getting close as well. They are finishing off the refurbished brakes, steering rack and fuel system. I just need to find someone locally who can repair the exhaust manifold or perhaps build me a new identical one. The Brabham manifold is actually a thing of beauty :)

The Brabham Viva is down to the last few items on the snag list. Hopefully, it will be out of the garage and into the body shop before Christmas, or very early next year. It still needs a new fuel line and a repair to the fuel tank, the original shock absorbers are being sent away for restoration, the tappets need adjusting when the engine is hot and that's about it. :)
