Hi Bobby, if you're a paid up member you can look at the register yourself as well as see the info contained within the private members eBay sales section which would have given you the collective insight into the origins and history of this car.

Thanks Fred
Having gone to pick it up today from the seller i took another more detailed look at its credentials and it would appear to be a bit of a ringer the log book stated it was a 1973 Firenza 2279 sport SL but all the body parts were screaming 1976 Viva E at me.
The vehicle was sitting on flat tyres but still to low to the ground and when you depressed the shocks there were horrible crunching sounds and the car stayed down and failed to pop back up so i think the chassis was screwed , so I am still looking for that project car as this one had way to many issues and appeared to be illegal and not insurable . just glad i had not parted with the readies before having a better look in the daylight .
Bobby.

Good decision Bobby, join the club and get access to the discussions about such cars before risking buying a dud....

Hello Bobby,

Sounds like you had a lucky escape, there is a thread about this car here

It certainly is a Viva E.

Thanks Fred N Nail
Yeah near miss with that one! , but to be fair to the sellers i don't think they knew either as they had only had it about a year as is and nothing done to it just lost interest or time to rebuild it
i have applied to the Treasurer for full membership today and paid yia Paypal so hopefully will not get fooled again .
Shame it was not in better fettle but will make a track car/ hillclimber as that is what it had done with previous owners just not on the road eh !
Cheers Bobby
