Old Club Magazines

Postby BobbyMel » Tue Oct 18, 2011 8:38 pm

Hi, I am trying to view old club mags from the website. However when I try to open it to view it, it will not open.

Am I doing something wrong?

Hi Paul, got Adobe on my PC. The file starts to download but stops at about 450kb out of 5MB, and just freezes.

So annoying.

Assume your not trying to grab everything at once???? Too many simultaneous downloads and the sever will kick you for excessive bandwidth usage. best you leave it a few hours then try again, but do one at a time and leave some time between downloads... they are not running away so nee need to try to grab everything in one go :goodluck:

Hi, I too have been struggling to access the old magazines (dark evenings and too cold to go do stuff to the car). If I click the link below the magazine image it just takes me to the home page, am I doing something wrong or is there another way to access them?

I know this is an old thread but didn't want to start another about the same subject.

Thankyou

On links that throw you back to the home page, it is where content is missing ... We are working on it 40 years worth of magazines is a lot of data to,scan ....

I think we are soon to sort out the old missing ones....

If it is throwing you to the home page on every single link then the issue is at your end as others get content on links where the file exists.

I also assume you have Adobe PDF reader installed ?

I think you're right that the issue is at my end, I do have the latest version of adobe installed and haven't had issues with pdf's before.
I am currently looking at my internet security software in case this is automatically cancelling the download, otherwise I am at a bit of a loss.

I will persevere.....
