ORU 611 G Viva GT

Postby Neville » Tue Oct 22, 2013 6:33 pm

Hey,
Lots of you know this car...... and know I also have another GT alongside her.....WUM 101 H
Due to lots of factors......I am seriously thinking of parting with one of them........almost certainly
ORU ...... Its too many cars.....not enough time...work......etc.
Its not an option to E Bay the car....EVER.....but how to part with it so it hurts less.
I am more interested in it going to a fellow enthusiast rather than a tom, *Bleep* or harry who has the money
There is also the problem.....what to ask for the car in any event .?
Its totally all metal......with serious money spent on its refurb and up keep..... but of course more work to do as always.....as even though the engine and gearbox are strong...... My next move would be some work on the engine I guess although NOT needed.
If you fancy a chat...... mail me on neville.brooker@googlemail.com or PM me.
Do not expect a bargain.....as I do not need to sell......and will not sell the car cheap.
I am in Kent.....very close to Junction 10 of M20 for viewing......which would be in the dry as kept in my own car store.
Happy to respond to any questions.
Thanks, Neville.

While I totally sympathise with your wish to have the car go to a genuine enthusiast and your reluctance to use eBay, I have watched the For Sale and Wanted sub-forums on here for some time and they don't seem have many cars go thro them successfully. Take the yellow estate which was listed for sale on here recently, then had to finally go on ebay. The run-down HB out in Norfolk listed on here during in the summer attracted no attention. I guess that eBay just has that much larger audience than this forum.

Thanks Bazz...... And I agree to an extent..... but at least I have made the effort.
Failing this...I have a friends in deal in Classic Cars and can use their contacts for me......Avoiding the tyre
kicking, wind up merchants.
No hurry on my part.

Well it had to happen. I'm in no postion to buy ORU back, much as I would like to. If anyone is interested in this car, go look, it really is one of the best.
