It's still got the twin carb setup on the 1800. Current owner sent me pretty comprehensive vids of the car so deposit has been paid.

Well done. When i first saw that car on the net a few years ago I thought it would make someone very happy to own it. Looks like your turn now :)

It should be off to the restoration bodyshop soon, a Lotus Europa that work has had there is almost ready so the truck and trailer needs to go down to collect it - no sense it going down empty ;)

Plan is to sort the holes in the sills and driver's side front wheel arch, sort out the bubbling and a minor dent and hopefully avoid a re-spray. Whilst it's there I've asked for a stainless exhaust to be done as the current one is leaking and for the fuel and brake lines to be re-done, bit of a wiff of fuel at the mo unfortunately. It may require a full respray, if it does will keep the colour the same.

I've already made one major change, the wheels. Avon safety rims now fitted with Avon tyres which I thought was a fitting combination. I'll also fit LED bulbs to the headlights and probably one of the reversing sensor number plate surrounds. I plan to get the car up to MOT standard mechanically for safety reasons.
