Firenza 2.3, yorkshire £9,800

On car and classic, seems expensive but if its done well I guess it isnt. Does have some odd things for a 71 apparently - flat top wings, 2 stalks & 2 washers apparently. Oh and it isnt a 2.3 anymore, a period correct 2L which could mean anything (I think manta engined)!

I think it was the red one for sale via facebook earlier this year.

I am looking for a firenza coupe and keep coming back to this one out of the 3 I can find for sale. I'm not a Vauxhall expert by any means despite owning 'newer' models such as cavalier 2.0 GLS coupe, Mk1 Astra GTE and a couple of Nova GTEs. I would appreciate anyone's thoughts / knowledge of this car. Is it a genuine 2.3SL, is it worth that much? Any advice welcome. I see it was red and on eBay earlier this year.

Cheers
Deano

PS, in the unlikely event someone has one for sale........please contact me, cash ready but must have 7 dial dash and be solid.

That one started life as an OHV engined car. It has been fitted with a 2L Vauxhall Carlton engine.

Thank you for all that useful info, very much appreciated. Though I do like the look of it, I think at that price I'm better to wait for something else to come along.

Cheers

Keep a look out for a Vauxhall Frontera 2.4 engine, a straight swop if you have a CIH 2.0 litre engine...
