Looked at the pictures, car looks great in Yellow. Mine's a Bronze 4 door Gls with a Beige vinyl roof to make it look like an old fogey car.
You certainly did a lot of work. I've shortened the water pump already so that should help. I was going to see if the TR7 axle that i have would fit at a later stage, that way i can fit a TR8 crown wheel and lsd. I will need to upgrade the front brakes as you have, but i'm not really wanting to race the thing, it's just meant to be a cruiser.
I had been told about using a Scimitar axle but that would involve mounting a Panhard rod, so for the time being i'll just stick with the original axle. I've got an Imp to restore after this, plus fit a new engine and box to my Cherokee and see if i can get the twin throttle body manifold i made to fit and work. And finally there'll be another Rover v8 to fit onto a turbo diesel box then into a Cherokee. By which time i'll probably be ready to retire if i'm not dead already. LOL.
Pretty sure i've lost the plot.

No, HBPeter runs the club registers. You never get away with posting about a car on here without him asking for the reg number.

Does anybody know who's got the Coupe with the v8 and auto box that Fred mentioned? Wouldn't mind taking a look at that one, reckon i'm getting cold feet about chopping my car about so much.

Don't blame you Andy. I wouldn't do it again.

These days I would be looking at a modern 4 pot motor and no chopping of the body work. Look at pbottomleys lotus engined conversion. Makes sense to me

Thanks for the advice, that sounds interesting if i could find a good motor. Did wonder about an Omega v6 but i haven't looked to see the size of the engine and i can't remember much about my Cavalier v6.
It's amazing how old and tired all this desire has made me feel. Think i'll just become monk and go hide somewhere. LOL
