Yes Ethan, Irish/UK air conditioning - open a window. Must have been fairly stuffy in the back of a two door Viva. Remember being in the back of my father's two door Ford Cortina Consul Mk.1 trying not to chop off a finger while opening latch.

Shouldn't be that stuffy if the rear air outlet vents along the bottom of the rear window are clear. I had a problem with my Firenza steaming up in the back when it rained, turned out that the sound deadening that I put in under the rear shelf when I rebuilt the car had shifted, blocking those outlet vents.

Not as good as air-con, of course, but that wasn't common on small-engined cars back then. American V8s had power (and space) to spare for stuff like that.
