Newbie

Hi All
I am new to this forum so I thought I would say hello and give you all some background on my past dealing with Vauxhalls.
My very first driving lesson at 17 on a deserted caravan park was in my Fathers 2Door Vauxhall Viva 2300 in Metallic Blue ,it had the 7 Dial dashboard in matching blue, what a car absolutely loved it! He had to sell it a couple of years later to buy a Triumph 2000 which had a greater axle weight to tow a larger caravan for the rest of the family.
After passing my test I purchased my first car a Morris Minor for £295 pounds after running it for several years saving up and building up no claims bonus I bought a Vauxhall Magnum 1800 2 Door, man I loved that car until it was destroyed by a female driver coming out of a side street into the main road in front of me.
Anyway after several more Vauxhall, and then not owning one now for quite some years I think it's time to return to the fold.
I would love to have a Viva 2300 just like my Father had ( hens teeth I know) or a Magnum 2300 2 Door.
I like droopsnoots/firenzas oh here I go again stop me I rambling again! Ha Ha Ha.

Hello and welcome. You will find most Vivas are quite rare now. The 2300 Viva is as you say hens teeth! Keep your eye open on ebay and the like, and on this forum. If you join the owners club a few cars get sold to club members only. Any chance you can remember the reg numbers of the Vivas/Magnums you have owned, any photos? Last time I looked there was a 2300 Magnum on ebay(4dr).

Hello and welcome. People tend to hang on to the 2300's, but they do come up every now and then if you keep your feelers out. Warning though, they are thirsty beasts.

Good luck with your search

Welcome back to Viva fever  the car in Avatar is an 1800 HC estate called Peggy. I also have a white (with black vinyl roof) 2 door 2300 SL saloon
- there are about 6 - 10 various Viva 2300s known to the club. I am currently restoring a Firenza to 2300 standard which may mean I will want to move the saloon on in due time - so watch this space
