Hello from new Magnum owner

Postby johnmac » Mon Jul 21, 2014 5:34 pm

Hi All, I'm new to the forum. I just acquired a 1974 Magnum and although I've had the carb reconditioned, but it's on its last legs. Does anyone happen to know where I might find a replacement carb or one that is compatible? Many thanks, John

I think I saw a reconditioned one on eBay earlier for around £150.

Hello and welcome. Whats the reg number of your car, got any photos. Re. the carb, is yours a 2.3 or 1.8 Magnum? If you join the owners club you will get access to spares, magazine and the rest of the this forum.

Thanks Peter, I think I just worked out how to attach a photo! RJN748M

She's a 1.8L Magnum and in great working order apart from a very dodgy carb. Looking forward to hopefully getting her back on the road.

I'm going to join the owners club too.

Cheers,
John

Wow, it's a small world Carl! You'll be pleased to hear she is still in good nick, well once I get the carb sorted. I've got all the original paperwork too. Fascinating reading!
