Hello everyone

I'm Angus and I bought a 1976 Viva E Coupe in July. It has been resprayed in another gold and has 13" minilites in the same colour, no carpet, and porsche front seats but is otherwise pretty original. It also needs new rubber seals all round and the brakes overhauling for the MOT but is mechanically pretty good apart from that.

I've had a pretty good read through the forum and there are some really nice cars on here both original and modified and some really useful posts about how to maintain our cars.

Cheers,

Angus

Hello and welcome. Car looks very nice. Whats the plans for it? If you join the owners club you will get access to spares, magazine and theres a lot more to this forum as well.

Not many Viva E coupes around, a lot have donated their bodyshells to Firenza rebuilds.

Cheers Peter,

I have joined the owners club so I could see all the forum and so I can get some new rubber seals to replace some of the perished ones on my car. It needs some welding to a spot on the floor and there are a couple of patches of rust on the bonnet and wing, and the sills will need replacing as well but don't need doing yet. It also needs a carpet and the brakes need some attention. After I have sorted all that out I plan to swap the engine, gearbox, stub axles, discs and rear axle and fit new shock absorbers and springs. I'm not going to make any changes that can't be reversed by bolting the original parts back on. So plenty of work to do. I will start with the essentials like seals, brakes and rust and then move on to nice to have things like carpet and upgrades to the running gear. Its true there don't seem to be many E Coupes left, so I want to make sure mine has all its problems fixed and gets back on the road.

A nice lookin car... Shouldn't take too much to get it together. Carpets would be nice. :D

Cheers. It does have porsche front seats though so not strictly standard.
