Here comes trouble!!!!

Hello, I think its about time I came and introduced myself to you all. My name is Axl and I'm from another Vauxhall car forum you may or may not of heard of.

Around a year ago, mysellf and my other half was out and about visiting an old friend in a place called Craven Arms when he told us about a Viva HB SL he had sat in a field and he needed to sell.
My ears pricked, my other half thought here we go again.
So off we went and 3 minutes later we rounded the corner of this barn to set our eyes on a neglected Vicky. I must admit I've scrapped better cars but my missus had already fell for her and the old skool coke bottle shape did it for me so I bought her there and then.
Out came the tow rope and Vicky got towed by my Calibra back to Wolverhampton where she's sat in my back garden patiently until now.
Today she was pushed into my garage and is now being taken to pieces for a few new panels to be replaced and a hell of a lot of welding.

Hence I bring you Trouble, I bring you Vicky.

'Well done that man'

Hi
It's great to see so many people restoring thier own cars these days. Saving A Viva is always applauded as the classic HB styling has for so long been overlooked and underated.
I will be very interested on the progress.

Thanks, I prefer to do all my own cars myself, I've been ripped off by dodgy garage's too many times. :(

This way I know the job gets done and it gets done properly.

Great little story & YAYYYY :D another Viva is saved from oblivion.
Good on ya. There is a dose of heartache & a good few skinned knuckles in front of you but believe me the end result will be more than worth it.
And yes, it IS good to see people undertaking their own restos. Its amazing how much you learn doing it all yourself.
