Billing IS the BIG one... The Mecca for all things Vauxhall.

Okay, the date are yet to be published, but the event ususlly take place 2nd week end of July. IF you are planning to camp. as many do, you will need to book your pitch direct with Billing Aquadrome, using a booking code which will give you a discount. (Published in the mag well in advance) In order to display your car on the club stand, you will a) Need to be a full member of the club, and b) book your space on the stand by sending a self addressed and stamped envelope to me (Details in the magazine) with your membership number and car details.

Some of us get there early on the Friday evening and share a beer and a laugh at the stand gazebos. It's curry night for some of us at Vinnies, on the on site Indian restaurant and takeaway.

Sat morning is finish set up, meet and greet, and if you haven't alreaqdy done so the scavenge around the autojumble. In the afternoon the club may hold it's AGM at the stand, so take your own chair and bevvy and see what we're about. Note - There is usually cake :D

Sat evening we hold the quiz. Questions selected by different people every year. Not just about cars, any subject is fair game, and as the host I can and do award points for the best wrong answers, or pretty much anything I want. It's what I do. :P It's a good crack, bring beer.

Sunday is chill out and awards day, and help pack up, which takes ages cos we all stand around chatting far too much.

I think that about sum it up. I'm sure someone will add something to this if I've missed anything.

Dan

All of what Dan says and there will be a selection of Club Spares available. It is also a meeting where people exchange bits and pieces which you have agreed on previously - if someone agrees to buy/have something the common expression - can you bring it to Billing - are you going to Billing - etc
Welcome on board Harry I have just processed your membership so you will be fullly signed up

Some of us get there around lunch time on the Friday and set up camp on the river bank and watch it all unfold in front of us. If the weathers good its a brilliant weekend, takes a full day to walk round all the club stands. Huge autojumble. Meet and put faces to people off this forum, make new friends, talk Vivas for 2 or 3 whole days!!

Most people leave on the Sunday, a few stay over and leave on the Monday morning avoiding the traffic.
