F J Classic Car Show Manchester 19th 20th Sept

Postby Fred Dukes » Wed Jan 21, 2015 5:50 pm

This is an indoor show at Event City - we usually have a Club Stand for 4 - 6 vehicles. Exhibitors need to leavecars on the Stand Friday and then pick up Sunday 5.00pm
Usually 2 free exhibitors wrist bands - plenty of Lodges close by and a good Wetherspoons for eating in the evening.

Just surfacing from a long and hard but enjoyable weekend
We had a good laugh and the punters seemed impressed with the display :P - one or 2 members dropped by and we may have hooked a couple of new ones
Thanks to all the guys who spent their weekend on the stand and providing a mix of Vivas/Bedfords/firenzas to be proud of. We had six cars on a 7m x 12m stand which was a bit busy but just about achievable - in contrast there was a Vauxhall Opel stand which was about 12m x 12m with 2 cars and a tow truck showing some lack of commitment of its membership
Must mention the carpet provided by David Forrest as a freebie, unwanted item from his multi marque club - have to admit it does bring the stand together and all for the price of some double sided tape and some black gaffer tape courtesy of Mr Yearby :P
That is the last club stand for this year and hopefully we can get the same level of enthusiasm for next year.
Dont forget to role the carpet up properly Steve
