Scottish Ford Day

I know, I know it says Ford in the title. Our Scottish rep Fraser Laird has been taking his Viva E to this event for years, let's show him some support and show these Ford people what they are missing!

Thanks for the plug!

I have organised this show for 29 years now and it is regarded by many as one of the best shows in Scotland.

Last year we had 650 cars of all ages and marques including over 70 quality hot rodz the largest collection at any show in Scotland.

All entrants receive a quality mug as an attendance award, free entry to the Bus Museum (normally £5), free rides on vintage buses, live Rockabilly music from Emma and the Ragmen, period music all day and a good autojumble, not bad for £2 entry.

I will post more details early next year.

Regards, Fraser.

A massive thanks to Marcus and Jane for coming to Scottish Ford Day this year, I hope you both enjoyed it.

We had quite a collection of Vivas, one HA van, two HB's, one HB GT and five HC's, thanks to everyone for making it a day to remember.

Thanks for organising it Fraser. It was a great day, and it helped me build a bit of confidence in beigey. 280 miles in one day, by far the furthest I have driven Beigey! Only slight hiccup was when i lost headlights once getting back to Aberdeen. One of the connections on the thermal cutout was causing a lot of resistance on the circuit, my indicators also stopped flashing not long after this which I suspect is the flasher unit on its way out.

Still, relatively trouble free!!

It was nice to put some faces to names as well, even if I will struggle to remember them!

Superb day, thanks Fraser, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We made it there and back with no problems, a round trip of 760 miles. As Callum said it was nice to meet people who you only know through the forum. I'll be doing a write up for the mag for all those who couldn't make it.

Likewise here thanks to Fraser for organising and Marcus for making space on the stand.

If you like Steff, email the photos to me at editor@vauxhallviva.com and I may be able to include them with Marcus's magazine article too.
