VBOA Events for 2008

Postby dann01 » Tue Dec 04, 2007 12:21 pm

Have had this from Ian Coobmer of the VBOA. These are in our mag as far as I am aware, yes, we will have a club presence at all three.

Please find below a list of events for 2008 from the Vauxhall, Bedford and Opel Association of clubs, the VBOA. We would greatly appreciate listings in the appropriate sections of your publications.

Yours sincerely

Ian Coomber

VBOA Chairman

VBOA Spring Parts Day & Autojumble. March 9th 2008

To be held at the highly successful 2007 venue, the Connexion Exhibition & Leisure Centre, Leamington Road, Ryton-on-Dunsmore, Coventry, CV8 3FL. This is a one day indoor event which sold out in 2007, so for 2008 both the exhibition halls on the site will be used, giving more floor space and all the parking. A feature of this event is the number of individual club members who take a pitch to sell surplus items. Together with a strong showing from regular Vauxhall and Opel specialists it’s the ideal opportunity to get those hard to find spares and accessories.

VBOA National Rally. July 12-13th 2008

The twenty-sixth running of our flagship outdoor event is at its usual Billing Aquadrome, Northamptonshire venue and gets bigger and better every year. In 2007 we proved we could hold a successful event when others were cancelled because of the floods. In 2008 we will have over 2000 cars, vans and trucks on site, special displays, concours and the biggest Vauxhall, Bedford and Opel autojumble in the World.

The VBOA Vauxhall Heritage Centre Open Day & Club Meet. September 14th 2008

Another opportunity for affiliated club members to display their cars while enjoying Vauxhall's hospitality and the star exhibits in the Vauxhall Heritage Collection. The VX Racing simulator will be on hand and the VBOA "Golden Welly" will be awarded for fastest time of the day. Raffle with mega prizes and all proceeds to charity. Free entry!

Details of these events can be found on the VBOA website at www.vboa.org.uk.
Sometimes, I wonder why I bother, and then for one fleeting moment things will go right for a change.
