Scottish Event - Louden Castle UPDATE

Postby bodyworx » Wed Apr 23, 2008 2:04 pm

Well its that time folks,

I need to know DEFINATE numbers for the louden Castle event on SUNDAY 15th June 2008 (Fathers day incidentally!)
We have 12 spaces provisionally booked and after a bit of deliberation with the events co-ordinator can offer the following rates.

£6 per Club Car Driver

£10 per Club Car Passenger

Club car Children under 16, Free of Charge

this gets you all the bands to get on all the park rides FREE ALL DAY!!
There is also a circus and birds of prey show as well as the golden lions
display team and also hot hatch tv and a couple of other tv companies

This event has escalated WAY beyond original thoughts and now have various magazines and tv film crews (STV) due to be in attendance, and a new 40 foot long Mack truck.....................LIMO
Its going to be a big day out.!

I have provisionally arranged for a representative of Total Vauxhall to be present and get the club some coverage (and some nice piccies too !)

At present the names put forward are:

1 / Andy (bodyworx) '73 custom Viva estate
2 / Alan Hosie '93 custom mini turbo (my bro)
3/ Ally (Sid Vicious) '90 Mk 2 Golf gti , cancelled
4 / Steff (possible) Viva HC cancelled
5 / Alhendo (possible) Viva HC
6 / HB Peter (possible) Viva HB cancelled
7/ Phil Dawson Viva HC
8/ (opel)Scott Viva HC
9/ VivaMatt Viva HA

So can everyone wishing to attend please get in touch with your details (name/phone number and car details, number attending etc) ASAP.
to get the booking finalised .
I will be there with the club stand and various Club items for members to purchase for the make a wish charity...

Andy.

Hi Andy,
Sorry, havent been in touch regarding the show.
Things are going really slow at the moment with my car but I'm still hoping that there is a chance that I can make it as I'd love to come along with my Firenza. Hopefully I will have a better idea within the next 2 weeks and let you know. Car wont be perfect but if can get it MOT'd then I'll be there.
Regards,
Phil.

Hi Andy,
Trying to get battered on with the car at moment so hopefully all will come together and be down to Louden.
Have many others confirmed their attendance yet?
Where will be the best campsite for the show as I intend to camp?

Hi Phil, numbers are dropping for various reasons, mainly some cars are not ready :( .
|Still have a possible 6 cars to attend, and I will try and get some more to fill the spaces.
Theres a lot of camp sites in the area, (within 6 - 10 miles), try google for local sites to Galston in Ayrshire, depends what you want, some have the full compliment, bars/food etc etc and some are more basic.
Still waiting for the confirmation letter from the organisers , so will chase it today and let everyone know whats happening.

Andy.

Hi Andy,
Hopefully there will be a strong presence there.
Not bothered about full facilities as long as a decent toilet/shower.
Any idea which site others are using if camping at all?
The show is just on the sunday isnt it?
Front panel that I bought from you off of e-bay months and months ago is just being fitted to car tonight/tomorrow. Car also needs a re-spray but will be done after the show.
Cheers,
Phil.
