HPF stripped in members garage

I was renting a garage from a fellow member, who only had one key (First mistake), have been paying him and he was always keen to collect the money from my house, now I wanted access to the garage he has been ignoring my calls.
Managed to talk to him at last and looks like he has stripped my car stealing the wheels, front axle and engine, all fully restored and immaculate parts. Have asked him to return the car to me as I had left it in his garage by this saturday otherwise I'll have to notify the Police.
You think you can trust fellow members, but he was always full of stories of what he was going to do, now I realise if was with my parts. As I know he couldn't do this on his own I wonder what stories he has made up to justify this to another member!! I have really helped him out fixing his car so he could get to work and buying bits off him, but this is just crazy!
Lets see what happens....

I have to say that you have displayed an awful lot more restraint than I would have done in similar circumstances. The police would have been brought in straight away before he had a chance to do possibly more damage. When you say member, is this a forum or full club member? Either way I'm shocked to say the least. I wish you the very best of luck with this situation.
Dave.

He did say the council had taken the garage back and taken the car, but after contacting the council they said he sill was renting it. He the admitted stripping my car and fitting the parts to his HB Viva, so should be easy to trace.

Yes this counld turn nasty but want to sort it out amiacably and make sure the HPF isn't damaged or gone!

Sorry to hear about your predicament, think id of went down the police route by now to try and locate car and axles ect!!
I dont think he is all of a sudden going to play ball!! Too much water under the bridge for that,
Is it legal to sub-let a council garage? Not round here it isnt!

You'll find he has two spherical objects about two feet below his chin, with a sharp kick with a size ten they will reappear close to his ear lobes - won't get the car back, but at least you can smile again!

Would it be relevant to ask if the committee is aware of the identity of the member alleged to have stripped a fellow members car? That person should not be named on a public forum but the club should be aware of them lest the same fate befalls another persons car.
Dave.

Its realistically a problem for the two individuals and not really a club matter.

As far as I am aware the committee are not aware of who the other person is, and without that information we would not know if they were a club members or not !! Even if he is again its a private matter between the two parties

:D
