That's putting it mildly. But I too hope it gets sorted out.

It's a problem these days unfortunately. I've even taken to making sure that anyone who comes to my shed to deliver stuff is sworn to secrecy as to location. I don't imagine anyone I know through any of the clubs I'm in (or even not in) would do anything, but you've just proved I was right to be suspicious of everyone, whether they deserve it or not. I've always felt I was being quite paranoid about it, but no longer.

I don't get what this person is thinking. It's not as if they could ever get away with it, turn up at a club meeting or car show with their car featuring parts from your car and hope no-one notices.

Sorry to hear about your Snoot, I hope you have a posative outcome from all this (soul destroying) I had a Val six wheeler coach stored on a neighbours farm for a couple of years a while back, one afternoon my work mate saw it go to the local scrap yard, I rang the farmer up and he told me he had scrapped it to pay his workers wages. I was gutted so I know how you feel, keep working on getting it back and good luck. Steve

If parts are missing and he's taken them without consent isn't that theft?
Name and Shame to protect others..(when proved guilty of course).

Police have been informed, all parts classed as Stolen from me, so he is not allowed to do anything with them or sell them and has to return them to me. He has admitted to steeling them under caution.

He has fitted them to his HB Viva.

Next is a warrant to seize the property through the Police under Theft Act 1968.

His name is Chris Hurrell if anyone wants to thanks him........

Clive

The Viva Owners club forum is not a place to name names with respect to "ongoing criminal / civil matters", and for that reason I am locking this thread.

I have said before this is a matter between two individuals NOT a place to start a witch hunt.

Feel free to PM if you need clarification of the rules of the forum and what is acceptable behaviour
