I have a box full of those - NEW Vauxhall - two micro switches mounted on a bracket for the GM Auto. They dont have the black plastic part in the centre which was probably a seperate mounting. If you want one or two you know where to come! Adrian

The resto took a bit of a back seat, so time to get going again. The wiring seems ok now, just got to eliminate things one at a time as it has a spark, turns over, but won't fire.
Have managed to get some repair panels over winter. Progressed it to get the front screen back in ( been on the back seat for 6+ years...), then gave it some wings by peeling the expanding foam out of the side trims.

The exhaust is, erm, past it's best so has been binned.

Have dismantled the front cross member as some of it was gaffer taped together :) ready for cleaning

Have had the spray man down to give me a price & more importantly, a time scale... Looks like more over time is needed... My boss will be happy, but my other half won't be ...

Good luck with the restoration of this very rare and highly sought after Firenza SSL.

If it starts to get you down (as any restoration will) don't give up with it, just leave it alone for a while and come back to it when you feel like it again. It's going to fantastic and well worth it in the end! :goodluck:

Great to see some progress. Expanding foam..... A friend a long time ago did the same to a Lada Riva. Filled everything with the stuff, just acellerated the rust and then he couldn't weld it.

I know that was a quick fix for a lot of things in the seventies, but didn't expect it to be FULL of it...

And the gearbox drives the wheels, such a relief. Now we can de-construct it for body repairs.
