Front Anti Roll Bar

hey guys,would there be any benefit of fitting a front anti roll bar to my HC?? reason i ask is that i have the bar but nothing else would theree be brackets welded to the front wishbones etc??

Yes, there are brackets on the front wishbones to fit the ends of the bar, and holes on the rear "legs" of the subframe with strengtheners to stop it collapsing when you bolt it up. This is the lower wishbone on a car with the ARB fitted:



As for whether there would be an improvement I can't say, I'm sure others will be along. I tend to take the view that if the car is standard spec, Vauxhall would probably have fitted one if there had been any need for it.

The front bar kit was available for a OHV as a Sportpart. I fitted one to an E Coupe in the '70's, absolutely brilliant :-)

Then tried a rear bar as well... Disaster....
